The 3 of us in FULL MSU FASHION!
In other news, Riley is playing fall ball and is really enjoying it. He and Wyatt are on the same team and they have a great coach. Here is the big boy playing catcher! I wish you could have seen him waddle up to the plate - hilarious. He has also played "pitcher" - it is machine pitch so he stands next to the coach and the machine. He did very well. He got the ball to first base twice!

Last weekend was our fall break. Riley was out of school Fri - Tues, so we loaded up the van and headed to Pigeon Forge, TN. Granny rode with us and we met Grandma and Granddad there. We went to see Dixie Stampede, which was a lot of fun and very entertaining. During the pre-show, Riley volunteered to "help out" the band. Little did I know that they would require a parent to accompany him. Mom couldn't restrain Reagan, so she hopped on stage as well. We helped the band sing "Old MacDonald Had a Farm." It was hilarious. Then I had to play the spoons with the band while the kids danced. I even had a "solo." We don't have any proof, because they had said no taking pictures, so I didn't even bring in the camera!! I could have taken pictures of that though... oh well. The show was very entertaining, and the food wasn't all bad. The chicken, the roll, the corn, and the apple turn over were good, but the pork loin and the potato were lacking. All in all it was worth it.
The next 2 days we went to Dollywood... I recommend it as well. We bought our tickets at the hotel and got 2 days for the price of 1. The kids did great and so did the adults.....

This actually wasn't at Dollywood - it was at The Track! As mom said, "Look at all the faces of the men around here... they are all smiling!" We couldn't wipe the grin off Riley's face all afternoon.

Funnel cake fun at Dollywood!

Reagan taking Grandma for a Sunday afternoon spin!

I am really not sure who was having more fun - Riley or Granddad!

Reagan just wanted to "win"!

Granny and Reagan enjoying the Tea Cups.

Grandma gets the prize for riding the unpleasant rides with Riley. She was definitely the Good Sport Grandma! They were all smiles until.......

Not my idea of fun! It was spinning while it kind of rocked from side to side.
Of course, I thought it would be fun to do the roller coasters the 2nd day. I had a momentary lapse of judgement and thought Riley should ride the upside down one with me. He did it, but ended up almost in tears at the end. Then I couldn't get him on the wooden (milder) roller coaster! There goes Mom of the Year!
Another funny, we were waiting for the train to get going and Reagan looks out into the wooded area and says, "I have those on my panties." We had her repeat it, because, surely, that is not what she said. Sure enough, she was pointing to a dragonfly, and she does in fact have some dragonfly Hanes!
As most of you know Sunday was the 3 year anniversary of Dustin's accident. I truly believe that we spent it the way D would have wanted us to... enjoying the fall weather while laughing and playing with family. We stayed so busy that we didn't have time to sit down and be sad, but of course it was in the back of my mind all day. What I wouldn't give to see him see his kids enjoying the rides, shows, food and fun!
