Baseball and Pumpkin Pie, Big Boy!

Again, apologies for taking so long between updates!

Riley hit a HOME RUN!! at his last baseball game! He was so excited and everyone was so excited for him. We had to make SEVERAL phone calls on the way home from the park. When he was at bat the inning before, his hit made it all the way to the fence and he made it safely to third. Because he was the last batter, the coach sent him home where he was tagged out :( He made up for it the next inning with a HR!!

Out of the blue last week, Riley said he wanted to try pumpkin pie; then Reagan chimed in that she wanted pumpkin bread (where she got that idea, I have no clue). In hopes of attaining the Mother of the Year Award, I said, "Let's make some!" Thursday afternoon, Reagan and I made pumpkin bread muffins, then Riley and I made a pumpkin pie. The pumpkin pie turned out better than the bread. Riley tried both, but as I suspected, he didn't like either of them. Reagan, on the other hand, loved both! (Icing on the pumpkin bread and cool whip on the pie, please!)

Reagan is into saying BIG BOY! She calls Mittser (our cat), "Come on, Big Boy! You're such a big boy!" Last week, we were in a toy store and she needed past a little boy about her age. Reagan said, "Excuse me, Big Boy!"

Riley is really developing his sense of humor too. He is such a little Dustin. Last Thursday, I was late coming outside when he got off the bus, and he went up to our neighbor and said, "Where's my mom? Is she on VACATION?"
