Fantastic Fourth and More!

We spent a week at Granny and Paw Paw's and boy did we squeeze in all the fun activities! My purpose for going was to help mom clean out the storage room. I love to throw away, donate and organize. I would have taken before and after pictures, but then again, I would like to be kept "in the will." :) Just kidding, Mom!

"TAR" swing!

Riley bugged us for two days that he wanted to make a tire swing. Finally we did it. We made a video too, but we all sound "red neck" on the video, so I made an executive decision not to post it.

Riding the tube! Reagan never lost that smile. Bouncing up and down, getting splashed in the face... smiling the entire time. Riley kept motioning for more waves.

Paw Paw decided to start a project of his own... replacing the boards on the deck. Riley had the job of pulling out the nails in the old boards. He LOVED it! He was very project oriented. It was hard to get him to stop and take a break for lunch. He said,"I'm working here." He was thrilled (and pleasantly surprised) to get his paycheck at the end of the week too!

As I walked down my parents driveway early one morning, I was greeted by this fellow. I fought the urge to go wake up the kids and went for the camera instead. Isn't he adorable?

We really had a wonderful visit. It looks as though we played the whole time, but that was just during our breaks from the storage room. I enjoyed laughing and cleaning and organizing with my mama.
