I seem to have more time on my hands when I am sick, sick, sick. I had a sinus infection that knocked me down for a few days. On Sunday, I got up at 6, took a shower, but my sinuses were so stopped up, it hurt to brush my hair and my teeth. So then had to have a heart to heart talk with God about missing church. He let me know really quick that I was too sick to get myself and the kids ready to go. Not to mention that I would be infecting His other followers.
By 12:30, I convinced myself to text my sitter to see if she could keep the kids while I go to a doc in a box. I told myself if she could sit, then that was my sign to go.
She was at my door an hour and half later!
Off to the doc, and an hour and a half later, I received the shot of all shots... the steroid shot. Two hours later, I felt like a normal person again. Seriously thanking God for the steroid shot. I am so thankful for feeling healthy again!!
I was greeted by Reagan when I got home, "Mommy, now I need to go to the doctor."
"Why, baby?"
"See."
Apparently, she was not looking where she was going, slipped on a piece of cardboard from their fort they made Saturday (see below), and hit the hardwood floor - face first! (By the way, they had added a door and a doorknob to the fort while I was gone.)
I took her to the dentist. They are loose, but they could tighten back up. Soft diet for two weeks. We will have to wait and see.It seems she is trying her best to lose these teeth unnaturally and prematurely. It's as though she has a target on her mouth, "Land Here."
Here is an inside look at the fort. That piece of cardboard that goes through the top was supposed to be wings, but we gave up on making them stick out. They ended up using it as a shelf for their radio (tuned to the all Christmas music station). Yes, that is a fan behind Riley, it seems it is hot inside the ole cardboard box fort!

I'm so sorry you've been sick but am glad you're on the mend. Love the fort! It's great to see boxes are the toys that span the generations. My siblings and I built a space shuttle out of a refrigerator box in the early 1980s. We too wanted to keep it forever!
So sorry you've been sick!! But you have been on a blogging roll!! I've enjoyed all the stories! Feel better!
Oh...so sorry you've been sick...we were a sickly home this week...not always fun, but you made the most of it! I'd come play in the box fort anytime!!!
