The first day went very well. He was a sleepy head at first, but got ready like a champ. Nothing like a Krispy Kreme donut with chocolate icing and sprinkles to get a kid motivated!
Of course Reagan had to get in on the photo opp. I got such a good picture last year; I was hoping for a repeat. I think it turned out pretty well.Starting at 8:30, Reagan began asking when we were going to pick up Riley. She said, "It sure is taking a long time to go get Riley." Finally I told her the entire "to do" list for the day, and she said, "Boy, that's a lot to do in one day."
As we sat in carpool line, a thunderstorm stirred up and apparently, caused the lights to go out in the school (and our home). That was Riley's big news of the day. He said his friend Jackson was scared and Riley told him to, "Pull yourself together!"
We had meet the teacher yesterday and I was very impressed with his teacher! We look forward to a great school year!

I was thinking Riley was Noah's age, but he and Kaylee are the same age. Can you believe that they are old enough for 3rd grade? Time really does fly by!
