But I think the kids had a fun afternoon today. We made Christmas cookies and decorated gingerbread snowmen (a little easier than the gingerbread houses).
I also wish I had done all this before I picked out our pictures for the ole Christmas card. These would have been fun on the card.... There's always next year.
They each had their own batch of cookies, and they rolled the dough (with a little help from me).
They cut out the cookies.
and watched them bake.
While they were baking and cooling, they decorated their gingerbread snow people. Notice Riley's mouth... tongue out. That, my friends is genetics. His Daddy did that everytime he concentrated on something.
Moving on to decorating the sugar cookies... Reagan had made that pile of sprinkles when it was her turn to do sprinkles. While I was mixing the red, green and white icing, she was getting out as many jars of sprinkles and making a pile. Did I mention she used Easter and Valentine sprinkles as well as Christmas? She said she was making "holiday cookies."
I always wondered what holiday cookies were.
Any guesses as to what she is doing? She said she was a vacuum cleaner. She was eating the big sprinkles (like confetti) off the floor. She is a big fan of the sweets. Can you tell? She also licked every fork, spoon, beater, and bowl in sight.

Love all the pictures! You are right, they would have made great Christmas cards! BTW, you do seem fun! And I think you do fabulous with the job God has given you!!
That vacuum bit is a trick straight out of one of Mark's bag! How precious are those kiddos??? I am so glad that you blog. I love reading it. It makes me laugh and cry.
I loved hearing all about this stuff! I think the blog is better than a Christmas Card for sharing your fun pics because we can see them any time we want! Just make sure everybody remembers to check it out. :)
