Well, I made it! Yesterday was Riley's actual birthday (see post below), but we had his party tonight. I tried my best to make it simple, but it wasn't. I am vowing that next year, R and R will have a joint party anywhere but here! ..... many reasons.....
We all had a great time anyway, especially the kids, Keith and Ed! They are such good sports. The kids were tackling them and shooting nerf guns at them. Riley and Reagan love that so much. I know that is probably the #1 thing that Riley misses most about his Daddy. He was the rough and tumble, funny, fun parent.
Speaking of funny:
Tonight Riley jumped into bed (my bed, since Holly and family and Granny are spending the night). I told him that his daddy jumped into bed like that all the time. One night, he jumped into bed and the fitted sheet ripped from top to bottom. I guess that is when you know you need new sheets. Riley belly laughed, and said, "Tell me what else Daddy did." I know we started this on D's website, but I would love more Dustin stories on his site or on this one. I told Riley I would try to think of some more that he had never heard before.
The other night, Reagan claimed Riley was eating a hambur-girl (hamburger)! We cracked up! Also, when we turn into our neighborhood, she says, "This our yard?" I say, "No, this is our neighborhood," but she doesn't like that answer,she insists it is our yard!
I will try to download the picutures from the par-tay tomorrow or the next day, so be on the lookout! (Becki, Shannon and Kelly, I haven't completely forgotten about the pics from our trip in Nov, we just haven't gotten that roll of film developed yet! I think it may still be in mom's camera!!! I will check into it this weekend.)
