We had a blast! Friday we enjoyed the indoor pool. Then Saturday we went to the aquarium. It was pretty crowded, and very difficult to keep up with two very excited kids. Riley really enjoyed seeing the whale sharks up close and personal. He amazes me. He can actually identify fish that we have seen in books. He was totally in hog heaven at the aquarium. Reagan got up close and personal with the sea otters. (I totally missed this experience, but Mom relayed it to me.) Reagan was sitting up close to the glass while they were feeding the sea otters. The person feeding them put some food down in front of Reagan and got the otter to come over. She made some kind of sign to the otter and he leaned over and kissed the glass in front of Reagan's face. Reagan looooved it! We went back to the hotel and the kids enjoyed the indoor pool again! Saturday night Shannon and Becki met us at the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. It was a time of good food, good friends and restless kids! We enjoyed our evening and it was so good to see my friends again!

Sunday, the kids enjoyed the indoor pool AGAIN! Then it was off to the museum of natural history. Again, the kids had fun. They had snakes and lizards alive! exhibit going on and also lots of hands on activities for them to observe and do. They even got to pet a snake! EEEEEEW! Sunday night was spent in the hotel room having chicken noodle soup and watching Curious George the movie on the car DVD player (see picture). The kids thought it was fantastic!

Movie Night at the Hotel - what could be better?
Monday we packed everything up and headed for the zoo! I really think our zoo is just about as good as theirs. We enjoyed seeing the gorilla move about and the elephant was up and roaming too. The thing that Riley keeps talking about is the fact that he ate all of his huge hamburger at the zoo cafe! Too funny! After the zoo, we headed home to Granny and PawPaw's.
I believe fun was had by all and we are so glad we went and it was just a blessed weekend. The place we stayed was perfect, the weather was fine, the traffic was no problem, and the directions were good. Thank you, God, for a wonderful weekend!
