I think about it often. I pray each time I think about it and I would love your prayers as well.
It is easier to share it through the following situation.
I am working VBS this week. I sat next to a friend that I don't see very often. She asked THE question, "What's new with you? Are you seeing anyone or are you not ready for that yet?" Leigh Ann is not one to beat around the bush.
Her father died when she was 8 and her mother re-married after 7 years. She has experienced this from a different perspective and I found that very interesting. (Isn't God good the way he places those people next to you at lunch? Nothing is a coincidence. Not really.)
Ok, so you want to know my answer. I said that I think I might be ready. I cried right there. Not what Leigh Ann had bargained for, but it was fine. I told her I had not said that out loud except maybe to my mom and Amy. She was so light-hearted about it and made me feel comfortable about sharing my feelings and hopes. I wonder if she realizes how God used her at that moment.

Reagan picked out the movie "Elf" to watch in the car this past weekend. There is a scene where the dad takes his dinner into his office and leaves the son and mom at the table. I couldn't see the screen, but I am guessing the boy had a sad look on his face. The following is Reagan's commentary:
He is sad. He miss his daddy. I am sad. I miss my daddy, because my daddy died.

Wendy... what a blessing your blog is to me and many others. I just wanted to share a very brief story with you in hopes that it will bless you in the way that it has blessed many others. I attend Liberty Baptist Church and our preacher's wife died of cancer in Dec. 2005 and he recieved many e-mails from people who were praying for him. He recieved an e-mail from a lady that lived in Orlando and her husband died of cancer in Dec. 2005 as well. They e-mailed back and forth and Bro. Tim was going to Disney for a conferance and they decided to meet one day while he was there so they could meet the people they had been praying for. Bro. Tim said he knew that she was the one for him the minute she walked up... they are now married with their "combined family" of 4 kids and the rest is history. But it truly is amazing how God works... what a blessing their story and lifes have been to our church and many others. Just a little encouragement that God had someone for Tim and Dawn and he has someone for you too! :)
Praying for God to place someone in your path to bless you and your family! Enjoy your summer!
