Our Little Performer

An attitude even while waiting in the wings!

Carried on stage
Yes, she had to be carried on stage at rehearsal. She did not like the "Broadway Baby" costume. She said, " I want to look pretty." (and in her opinion, that was impossible in this costume) She said the hat was a boy hat and she is not a boy! She pretty much just stood there and looked around during rehearsal of this one. She did better for "Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair," because she did the parts she liked!

Just about one beat behind, but having fun!

There's that smile we all love!

Aunt Holly, Allyn and Jenna came to watch her, and they gave her a balloon and CANDY! And that made it all worthwhile in her opinion. She has always acted as though she could take it (dance) or leave it, but she really did end up enjoying the recital. She didn't fuss a bit about going on stage, and she did some moves during both performances. She LOVED watching the other classes perform. She says she wants to dance again, but I think we will try tumbling next.

We have been enjoying our summer so far. We have made several trips to the pool, despite the fact that the water is still a little chilly! Riley enjoyed zoo camp this week, although he always adds, "but my teacher was mean." He learned a lot and would like to do it again next summer... we'll see. This week we have Summer Quest (VBS) at church, so it will be a busy week. I am helping with crafts and Reagan will be going to childcare. We just got back this evening from Holly's. Allyn and Jenna had their dance recital this week. They of course did very well; I am very proud of them! Reagan REALLY enjoyed watching them and I think Riley didn't mind, but he would never admit that!

That's all for now. I hope to post more soon, but I must go to bed now. I am one tired mama!
