Mom and I just went back to see Dad. A nurse was "cleaning him up" and it seemed to cheer him. He got a nice shave and a "spit bath" and she wiped his tongue with a damp washcloth! That had to feel good! He said, "Hey, Wendy, reach over there in my pants pocket and give her 4 dollars (holding up 4 fingers)." The nurse said he was trying to give her a tip! :) I could tell he felt a little bit better at the moment. And I'll take it!
I sprayed his tongue with some dry mouth moisturizer stuff I bought at walgreens (and got approved by the dr.) and he said it was ok! He has not liked the other swabs they have been using here. I also got some gel, so we'll try that next time.
Up. Down. Up. Down. Round n round we go!
But........
For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation, He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. Psalm 62:1-2
