There would have been a party this weekend. You would have been invited. His family would have come. We ALL would have given him a hard time, and he would have loved it!
Today would have been Dustin's 40th birthday.
What can I say? The man loved a good get-together. I would not have been able to surprise him. I tried that at 30. At one time he told me that we should have one couple over for dinner one night every weekend. It was one of the first things I noticed about him. He could work a crowd and make everyone know he was glad they were there.
I miss him terribly!
Please pray for his parents especially today. I know that this has to be such a hard day for them. Please pray for the comfort that only God can provide.
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:4-7
