The surgeon just came by and said that there is improvement, so no surgery to remove his colon! We are taking this as good news. It is the longer road, not the quick fix, and things can change as I have really learned thru this! I was praising God that he could have the ativan, and then it didn't work and made him agitated instead. So it turned out that wasn't a good thing. It had worked the day before...
The GI doctor will be the one to approve him having water, so we are anxiously awaiting his visit. I am not all that hopeful, b/c they may still want to keep his intestines empty to "deflate" it. He is still very distended. Dr.s said they think it has gone down a little bit, but I guess b/c we see him moment by moment we don't see it.
